Privacy Policy – Bxcode
Last updated: March 4, 2026
At Bxcode, we are a small, independent team based in Delhi, India, and we are committed to delivering free online tools like file converters, SEO analyzers, image processors, and web utilities. Our mission is simple: to enable users like you with hassle-free tools while ensuring your privacy.
This Privacy Policy outlines exactly how we handle your data when you visit our site or use our services. Unlike other platforms, we don’t ask you for accounts, logins, or personal data. Our tools are designed for single, anonymous use.
This Privacy Policy covers the entire Bxcode website and all tools on the site. We are committed to transparency, security, and minimal data practices, in accordance with global best practices and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, 2023). Got questions? Just drop us an email.
Information We Collect
Personal info not required: At Bxcode, we have designed our platform with the utmost privacy from the outset. You can use any of our tools, be it converting a PDF to Word, checking the SEO score of a webpage, or compressing images, without the need for registration, sign-up, or the provision of any personal info. We do not require, store, or track your name, email, phone number, password, or payment info. The absence of the need for registration also removes the risk of account breaches.
No history: Since we do not require registration, we also do not store your personal info, history, dashboard, or usage summary. The tool you use operates independently, and as soon as you stop, the session terminates without leaving a digital fingerprint. For instance, you can perform multiple SEO score checks on different webpages, and we will not store them for your future view.
Usage data: To keep our site running smoothly and securely, we collect limited, non-identifying technical information. For example, we collect your IP address (for geo-location trends only), browser type and version (like “Chrome 122 on Windows”), devices used (like mobile or desktop), pages you visit, timestamps for your visits, and where you came from (like Google). We use this data in aggregate and anonymous form, like “50% of our users on Android used the image resizer last week.” We use this data to make our site better, fix bugs, and track trends. We will not use this data for individual targeting. Your IP address will be truncated after initial processing for your own anonymity.
User inputs: If you upload files or enter text for processing, we handle it securely and immediately. For example, if you upload a PDF for converting, a URL for analyzing, or an image for pixelating, we will process it on our secure servers and immediately delete it from our servers within 1 hour of processing—no exceptions. For example, a 10MB PDF converter job will be deleted from our servers for good after processing.
Cookies and trackers: We use minimal cookies for basic functionality like remembering your language choice or session state during a complex tool workflow. For analytics, we use basic analytics from Google Analytics (GA4) to track basic information like page views. There are no personalized ads or tracking beyond this basic information. You will be shown a cookie banner on your first visit, which allows you to enable or disable non-essential cookies or customize them. You can also adjust them via your browser settings like in Chrome’s cookie settings. We also respect DNT settings if available.
How We Use Your Information
We will not use the data we collect for any purpose other than to improve your experience and protect our platform. Here’s a more detailed look:
- Service delivery: The data you provide directly powers our tools. For example, if you upload a file to our converter, we use server-side algorithms to process it immediately, without storing it in any cloud.
- Improvement: We use data to improve our tools. If our data shows we need more tools for mobile SEO in India, we can optimize our tools for 4G networks, common in Delhi and other cities.
- Security: We use technical data to recognize patterns, such as excessive requests from a single IP address (e.g., bots using our tools). This stops people from misusing our tools.
- Legal compliance: We may store data in compliance with legal requests, such as a subpoena in India or internationally.
We won’t use your data for anything else.
Information Sharing
Bxcode does not monetize your data in any way. We do not sell or give away your information unless we have a very good reason to do so:
- Selling: We do not sell our customers’ information to anyone.
- Service providers: We work with service providers who do very specific things on our behalf, and we require them to sign a data processing agreement that ensures they can’t use our customers’ information in a way that we don’t want them to.
- Business transfers: In the unlikely event that we sell or merge with another company, anonymized aggregate data will be transferred with advance notice via our site banner and email sign-up alerts.
- Legitimate interests: We will comply with legitimate court orders or other legal authorities (DPDP Act or IT Act, 2000). We will contest overly broad orders and will disclose information only as required.
- Aggregated stats: We will publish aggregated statistics, such as “Bxcode processed 1M files in 2025,” with no personally identifiable information to help us publicly demonstrate our success.
We will not share data with advertisers, social media sites, or anyone else for their own gain.
Data Storage and Security
Where: Primary servers are based in India and comply with local laws. Redundancy is ensured through secure global servers (e.g., EU/US data centers with EU-US or EU/US-UK adequacy decisions).
How long: User input – 1 hour. Usage logs – 30 days for security audit purposes, after which they are anonymized (e.g., IP hashing) or deleted. Legal holds are extended only as necessary.
How it is protected: We take the best available practices for security:
- HTTPS/TLS 1.3 encryption for all communications.
- Access control principles of least privilege and multi-factor authentication.
- Firewalls, DDoS protection, and intrusion detection.
- Regular security audits, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing by qualified security professionals.
- Encryption of backups and network segmentation.
Still, we know that no security measure is completely breach-proof, and we report incidents promptly, as required under DPDP.
Your role: You are responsible for what you upload. Avoid uploading sensitive information (e.g., medical records, financial documents). Illegal content is against our Terms of Service and Indian law.
